Microstructure and Mineral Phase Evolution of Vanadium Slag by Modulating the CaO/V2O5 Ratio

The slag mineral phase is reconstructed by adding CaO to the molten vanadium obtain a with high metallurgical characteristics. In this paper, effects of CaO/V2O5 ratio on microstructure slag, composition and non-salt roasting-(NH4)2CO3 leaching performance modified were comprehensively investigated. Molecular dynamics simulation was used examine simplified system (FeO-V2Ox-SiO2-CaO) at varied ratios. results show that V (3+, 4+, 5+) in similar network former. V-O structure dominated four-fold coordination, V3+ V5+ rich coordination configurations. With increased content, overall diffusivity increases, destroyed CaO. addition realizes reconstruction more concentrated distribution wider Ca obtained. concentration spinel increases from 17% 29.4%. A suitable reduces dependence recovery slag’s roasting temperature duration.
